Cracked Laptop and Mobile Device Screens Repair

Cracked Laptop and Mobile Device Screens – Get them repaired and keep your data intact

Our laptops, mobile phones, and tablets are handled and travel more than ever these days. In and out of pockets, handbags, briefcases, and backpacks, they can take quite a beating. It says a lot about technology that can do so much so reliably from such a small footprint. With all that handling, it’s not surprising that these devices frequently slip out of our hands and fall to the ground or other hard surface, sometimes cracking their all-important screens. Luckily screens on mobile devices are replaceable and can give you a few more years of use out of that device before you have to invest in a new one.

Damaged Mobile Phone Screen Replacement
Mobile phone screen replacement can be done in the same business day. We carry most major brands of mobile phone screens in stock, so if you drop off your phone in our store before Noon, we can have it replaced and ready for you to pick up at the end of that business day. If we don’t have the screen in stock, we can order it for you and then replace it when the screen arrives. There’s no waiting when you drop off your mobile phone for repair. Just drop it off with us in the morning and we’ll call you when it’s ready to be picked up later that day.

What About My Laptop Screen?

Have you dropped your laptop and noticed that the screen has lines or a distorted image? Have you started up your laptop and it seems to be working, but the screen is black? Laptops are a little more fragile than a mobile phone, so can be prone to screen issues in the course of daily wear and tear. If you’ve dropped your laptop and then notice the screen isn’t working properly, it may be your screen or it may be your motherboard, RAM, operating system or a virus issue. Either way, it’s a good idea to bring your laptop in so that the problem can be correctly diagnosed and repaired.

For your protection, we’ll do a hardware diagnostic on your laptop to ensure all of the hardware is working properly and nothing else is damaged before we order your screen. The cost for the diagnostic is $50, which will be applied to the cost of the screen if the screen can be repaired or replaced. If the hardware checks out and no contributing virus issues are present, then all you’ll need is a new replacement screen. Because of the variety of laptop screens out there, we can’t keep them in stock. We’ll order your screen on the day you bring it to our store. When your screen arrives, we’ll install it, ensure everything is running smoothly on your laptop, and then call you when it’s ready to be picked up. Typically, this whole process takes about 4-5 business days. If you decide not to replace the screen or it can’t be replaced, we’ll apply your $50 to the cost of a new computer, data recovery, or put it to use for other services that we offer. We sell new and used computers, so we have a solution for you either way.

What About my Tablet Screen?

Like a mobile phone and laptop, tablets are prone to broken screens due to the heavy handling they receive during the course of a day. One slip and the tablet can hit the floor, cracking the screen. If this has happened to you, tablet screens can be fixed as well. We ask customers to bring their tablets in so that we can check them out to ensure it’s the screen and not some other hardware issue.

We order tablet screens when the customer brings in their device. The screen arrives at our store, we replace the damaged screen with a brand new one, and then notify you when it’s ready to be picked up.

As with all of the services we provide, we’ll provide you with a written quote when you bring in your laptop or mobile device for repair and will let you know when you can expect to pick it up.

Why take my mobile devices to Computer Renaissance for repair?

There are several very good reasons why you should bring your mobile devices for repair to us versus taking it to a kiosk at the mall. First, we’re an established business that’s been around for a several years and we’re going to be here, unlike kiosks in malls that can come and go quickly. Second, we not only know how to replace screens, we know how to diagnose and fix any hardware damage your laptop may have sustained when it was dropped. Third, if we can’t repair your laptop screen, we can sell you a new laptop and apply part of the repair cost to the cost of the new laptop. Bottom line… we offer more solutions. Tim, thanks for explaining that it can be a good idea to invest in screen repair for your laptop so you can get more use out of the device. You make a good point that if you have dropped your laptop and notice anything out of the ordinary, it can be a good idea to bring it in for a diagnostic test. I would think that it is a lot more convenient to have your screen fixed so you can still have access to all of the information on your laptop.
